This research theme aims to:
- provide a better understanding of resistant bacteria in the host context
- identify new targets for novel antibacterials
- define better ways of predicting and influencing the acquisition and evolution of resistance
- uncover new markers for diagnosing bacterial infection, virulence and resistance
