Theme 1: Understanding resistant bacteria in the context of the host
Projects within this theme explore resistant bacteria in the host context to help develop our understanding of resistance mechanisms, identify new targets for novel antibiotics and the development of new diagnostics.
Applications are now closed.
One studentship is available under this theme led by the AMR consortium at the University of Warwick
This research theme aims to:
- provide a better understanding of resistant bacteria in the host context
- identify new targets for novel antibacterials
- define better ways of predicting and influencing the acquisition and evolution of resistance
- uncover new markers for diagnosing bacterial infection, virulence and resistance
