This research theme aims to:

  • provide a better understanding of resistant bacteria in the host context
  • identify new targets for novel antibacterials
  • define better ways of predicting and influencing the acquisition and evolution of resistance
  • uncover new markers for diagnosing bacterial infection, virulence and resistance
